Commission A Portrait
Price List
I spend many hours of love and care to create a highly detailed portrait, so the character of your pet or loved one will shine through. I offer a wide range of portrait options on various sizes, and my prices are based on the size and amount of subjects, detailed in my full price list below. A handmade portrait of a single subject is £350 on A4, £465 on A3 or £585 on A2, in both watercolour or graphite
*Please note, I take a 50% deposit upon booking, and the remaining balance is due once the artwork is complete. I am also happy to discuss payment plans with lower monthly payments.
Step One: Get in Touch
Get in touch via email or telephone. We’ll discuss who you’d like your portrait to be of, which size you’d prefer and whether you’d like a graphite drawing or watercolour painting.
Both are equally detailed, priced the same, and there are examples of each in the galleries. Many clients prefer me to make a recommendation based on the subject or their photos, which I am more than happy to help with!
Send me your favourite photos of your pet or loved one. I work from one high-quality photo for your original artwork, as I’m passionate about creating a highly detailed portrait, but it helps to have several to give me an idea of their colouring and character.
I’d also love to know a bit more about your pet or family member. This helps me to really capture their character when I create the portrait!
Step Two: Book Your Slot
At the point of booking, we’ll discuss the next available slot in my schedule, and when you’d like to receive your portrait.
I take a 50% booking fee to secure your space in my diary. The full balance is due once the artwork is complete.
Step Three: Creating the Artwork
Your portrait will be created with the finest artist-quality watercolours and graphite pencils, on archival acid-free paper. This ensures that your portrait will remain beautiful and vibrant for years to come.
Throughout the creation process, I will keep you updated with photos as your new piece of art unfolds.
Step Four: Mounting, Framing and Postage
Your portrait will be professionally mounted with acid free card before it is posted.
Additionally, if you’re based in Plymouth, I would also be happy to get your portrait professionally framed before hand delivering it. I work with a local framer, who will make the frame especially for you. (Please note this is an additional charge.)
UK Special Delivery is included in the prices shown. This is tracked and signed for, so we can keep an eye on its journey from my Devon studio to your home!
